Bei original Veröffentlichung im Jahre 2002 von vielen mit einem Schmunzeln beäugt und von der Presse zerrissen, ist diese CD mit traditionellen Weihnachtsliedern im unheiligen Gewand inzwischen zum Highlight der alljährlichen Vorweihnachtszeit geworden.
Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass die original Vorlagen nicht mehr existieren, ist das Artwork komplett überarbeitet und der Tonträger neu gemastert.

| Possibly Unheilig's most notable release, and my favorite. It certainly deserves recognition, and the extremely rare Limited Edition definitely makes this one of the most notable releases on the scene. Even without the inclusive rarity long-ago sold in only a squad of copies, this album delivers more than what it is paid for upon purchase. A smart buy if you are looking for great music. Known for its soothingly invigorating tracks, Der Graf releases powerful vocals to combat the harsh weather of the season the album is associated with. A good listen on a warm winter night! The strong instrumental power in each tale is backed by the emotional and genuine xxxures written and sung in a relatively Gothic manner. A very unholy and tainted perception of the holiest and jolliest time of the year, the latter the effect the album delivers to any soul that yearns for musical guidance. Indeed, a relaxing and brilliant sense of musical skill will solve the long asked question for many; who can deliver what has never been heard but what has always been longed for? With Frohes Fest, Unheilig has certainly brought me to deliverance. My music collection would never be the same without this album, and even though I questioned it at first due to my unfamiliarity in regard to the band, a listen of just a few tunes changed my perception toward the album entirely, and that of the band as well! | |||||||||||
