(02/10) Zu den Wurzeln elektronischer Musik begeben sich Mind.In.A.Box mit ihrem vierten gerade erst angekündigten Album R.E.T,R:O.
Nachdem sie die futuristische "Lost Alone" Trilogie mit dem hervorragenden "Crossroads"-Album im Jahr 2007 abschlossen, richteten sie ihr Augenmerk auf ein komplett anderes Konzept:
Auf die ersten Schritte selbstgemachter elektronischer Musik in Computerspielen aus der Commodore 64 Ära.
Diese außergewöhnlichen Sounds und Melodien der frühen und der Mitte der 80iger schweben Mind.In.A.Box Sänger Stefan Poiss noch heute im Kopf umher.
So machten sich die Österreicher daran, die Soundtracks von Cult-Computerspielen wie "Lightforce" oder "Last Ninja 3" in ihr eigenes Sounduniversum zu übertragen, und aktuelle Coverversionen davon zu schaffen.
Mit einigen von der C64 Ära inspirierten Mind.In.A.Box Tracks wie "8Bits" oder "Whatever Matters" runden die Österreicher ein Album ab, welches es schafft eine Brücke zwischen die 80iger Jahre Elektronik und das Sounddesign der Gegenwart zu bauen.
