(08/09) Topiary En Hades 1 is the 8th full length by electro legend Eric Chamberlain, and the 6th for the Index franchise.
The 13 track CD release also marks the start of a very aggressive and ambitious period of new writing and producing. Topiary En Hades is a dark, atmospheric spiritual journey that mixes darkness and light as a true reflection of the human soul.
Based on Eric's own actual experience, this biographically emotive expression will take the listener from lonely uncertainty to powerful revelation, all within the classic Index sound that mixes the shadows and the hope of the human condition being transformed by life. Index started in the early 90's as a trio.
After the first full length, Sky Laced Silver, Eric Chamberlain continued the project alone and released the highly acclaimed Black Light Twilight, followed by the more aggressive and more textural Faith In Motion which also received great critical review.
The scope of Index grew even greater with the release of Ultra Hard Shadow, which was completely instrumental electro and showcased the Index vision in a completely different light. Also receiving high acclaim, it was described as a jewel for the electro scene. After a break, the CD World Blade Center was released, which Release magazine described as one of the most impressive pieces of electronic music heard to date.
Now in 2009 comes Topiary En Hades1, the first of a two part project, one that has taken everything in Eric's personal growth over the last several years and turned into something that just might resonate with so many others on a personal and spiritual level.
