(03/07) Nachdem Mexiko sich schon lange als Vorzeige-Brutstätte für harte, elektronische Kost etabliert hat, schickt nun Italien einen viel versprechenden Kandidaten für den Hardfloor-Thron ins Rennen.
Adam setzen zwar auf das bewährte Grundgerüst aus EBM-Bässen, Techno-Beats, melodischen Trance-Leads und aggressiven Shouts, schaffen es aber trotzdem, sich mit einer ganz eigenen Note zu positionieren.
Das liegt zum einen an einer geschickten Durchmischung mit melodischen Achtziger-Einflüssen. Zum anderen übertrifft die Stimme des Sängers Jeez mit ihrer rotzigen Art das übliche Gekreische spielend an aggressivem Potential. Außerdem kann der Mann auch wirklich singen, und scheut sich nicht, von seinem Talent Gebrauch zu machen.
Aus diesem Balanceakt zwischen Gefühl und Härte entsteht ein ganz eigener Sound: Emo-Hardfloor. Als Paradebeispiel kann die Coverversion des Achtzigerjahre-Hits Send Me an Angel von Real Life herhalten, für den Chris Pohl und Ulrike Goldmann von Blutengel als Gaststars gewonnen werden konnten.
Adam stecken das Stück in ein zeitgemäß kompromissloses Gewand, ohne dessen melodische Essenz zu zerstören. Club-Smasher mit Dauerbrenner-Potential haben die Italiener auch darüber hinaus noch einige im Gepäck.
Adam sind ein frischer Wind für die Dark Electro Szene Härte und Herzblut: eine höllisch gute Kombination.
